Elle appoints Creative Director

Tom Meredith: "It is an incredibly exciting time for the brand."

Tom has an established relationship with Elle and has worked in consumer-magazine publishing for more than 12 years. He began his career as a Designer at Harper’s Bazaar UK, before moving to Elle UK, where he rose to Acting Creative Director. Tom also art directed the relaunch and redesign of the biannual fashion magazine, Elle Collections, and art directed the cover shoots for many of Elle’s iconic covers.

In 2012, Tom became the Creative Director of InStyle UK, before moving to Paris to redesign the biannual Special Mode issue for Elle France. He went on to become Creative Director of the title and continued to work for the Elle international team as Consultant Creative Director. He has also worked as a Freelance Creative Director for other notable media and fashion clients including Glamour (UK, France & Germany) and MatchesFashion.com.

Anne-Marie Curtis, Editor-in-Chief, Elle UK, says: “Tom’s outstanding creative vision combined with his innate understanding of the Elle brand and audience means he is the perfect fit for the role of Creative Director. He is extremely talented and has played a fundamental role in the development of the brand. I can’t wait to work with him to implement new concepts for the magazine.”

Tom Meredith says: “I am delighted to be returning to Elle UK and to have the opportunity to celebrate the creativity, innovation and modernity of this prestigious title. With Anne-Marie as the new Editor-in-Chief, it is an incredibly exciting time for the brand and I am thrilled to be a part of this creative new team.”

Tom commences his role on 8 May.
