This Saturday sees the launch of ‘Grand Selfie’, a Sun Savers promotion that gives customers the chance to win a £1,000 prize.

300 branded blue doors will appear at retailers across the UK and customers are in with a chance of winning simply by uploading a selfie in front of the door to their social media accounts, using #SunSaversSelfie.
Sun Savers, described by the publishers as the richest cash-back scheme in the country, has reached 500,000 members since its launch in June and has paid out more than £2million to readers. The latest initiative is focused on supporting retailers by driving print sales and footfall into store, along with driving engagement via social media.
There is a £1,000 prize every week for four weeks with five £200 runner-up prizes. Retailers can win a digital screen worth £2,000 for the most selfies taken in their store.
Commenting on the new competition, The Sun’s Chief Marketing Officer Kate Bird said: “Get your cameras at the ready, a Sun Savers blue door is coming to a shop near you! Our ‘Grand Selfie’ promotion is another fun way to drive print sales and incentivise customers to shop with and support our independent retailers”.
Awareness of the four-week long initiative will be driven by News UK's Retail team as well as targeting the 500,000 Sun Savers members, with further promotions across The Sun's digital platforms.
