InPublishing Privacy Policy

  1. Throughout the data collection process, all necessary steps are taken to ensure that data is used only according to the purposes that InPublishing has clearly stated.
  2. Information is collected from the User on registration, or when contributions are made or certain features of the site used. It is collected primarily so that InPublishing can both personalise the use of the site for Users and to assist in provision of the service.
  3. Information is also collected so that InPublishing may send Users further information about the site or other InPublishing products or services.
  4. InPublishing does not rent out or sell data to third parties.
  5. Users can amend information provided at any time by emailing details to enquiries@inpublishing.co.uk
  6. All User information supplied by Users is covered by the Data Protection Act 1998. The Act requires InPublishing to be registered as a Data Controller. InPublishing’s registration number is Z8828366.
  7. Users can access the data held on them by InPublishing by contacting InPublishing in writing or by email.
  8. Whenever a User requests a page, IP address, browser and version and operating system are stored in a log file. This information is only used for statistical purposes to help improve this site and provide accurate statistics to advertisers in the form of aggregated data.
  9. We use Microsoft’s ASP.NET web application framework on the InPublishing site, and this uses its own cookies to be able to operate. Additionally, we carry advertising on the site, integrate with social media sites, such as Facebook, Google+, LinkedIn and Twitter, as well as with Yudu Media for digital editions, and these third parties may use cookies in order to function efficiently. You can choose to accept or decline cookies. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline cookies if you prefer. This may prevent you from taking full advantage of the website.
  10. Whilst we strive to protect User’s personal information, no data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be totally secure and thus InPublishing can not ensure or warrant the security of any information it may process as part of the site.
  11. InPublishing reserves the right to update and change this Privacy Policy at any time. However, InPublishing will not use information submitted by a User under this current notice in a way not currently described herein without also notifying the User of such change, and giving the User an opportunity to opt-out, or otherwise prevent that new use of their information.
