Nick Gee: "The restructure provides a tremendous platform for us to accomplish more going forward."

The company has had a long involvement in the publishing sector, but with recent investments in infrastructure and resources on the merchanting side of business, it can now also boast a significant presence in the commercial print sector.

The company had been planning to capitalise on the combined strengths of both areas and restructure the operation and reflect the two divisions that represent the company going forward. On May 1st Denmaur celebrates 35 years of continued service in the paper industry, and this was seen as an ideal opportunity to officially launch the reorganisation of the company.

Denmaur Paper will be headed up by Andy Buxton, assisted by Andy Faithful. An expanding range of innovative and competitive stock paper is held at the company’s large warehouse. Five UK sales offices (Sittingbourne, Bristol, Bardon, Alderley Edge and Leeds) will service the day-to-day requirements of printers throughout the UK.

Denmaur Media represents the combined resources of the Sittingbourne and St Albans (formerly Media Paper Management) sales teams who look after the volume paper requirements for magazine publishers and end user clients across a variety of sectors, including retail, travel, charity and local government.

The brand change will be supported by a new logo and new website. The company says it is planning further investment in its operating system and management support facilities to strengthen the Denmaur brand across all parts of its business.

Alongside the launch of the company’s updated identities, there are some changes in overall responsibilities. Mike Gee is to become CEO and Nick will be taking on the role of Managing Director. Stephen Mason carries on in his role as Non-Executive Chairman.

Mike Gee said: “Broadly speaking, in revenue terms the business is now fairly evenly split between publishing and the commercial print sectors.”

“I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our customers and suppliers who have made it possible for us to achieve 35 successful years in the business. I believe we have the right people and partners in place to continue on with our success story.”

“I’m not going anywhere - far from it, my intention is to focus more on strategic growth opportunities.”

Nick Gee said: “The restructure provides a tremendous platform for us to accomplish more going forward, allowing us to diversify and adapt to the markets in which we operate.”

“We look forward to further developing the Denmaur brand and maximising the cross promotional opportunities the two divisions will be able to provide to both customers and suppliers.”

Denmaur Independent Papers Ltd will remain the legal entity with the same company registration and VAT numbers.
