Stylist launches Remarkable Women Awards

Lisa Smosarski: "We love sharing the stories of those who deserve to have their voices heard."

The Remarkable Women Awards, in partnership with wellbeing beauty brand philosophy, will be a celebration of inspiring women from across the globe, including A-list stars, female role models, activists and community champions, say the publishers.

The star-studded awards gala is timed to take place in the same week as International Women’s Day 2019. The accolades will be split into 11 categories, including an audience-nominated and voted Inspiring Woman Award in recognition of an unsung hero who has found a way to help other women in her own community.

Lisa Smosarski, Editor-in-Chief of Stylist said: “Since launch, we have always recognised remarkable women at Stylist. We love sharing the stories of those who deserve to have their voices heard, we’ve consistently supported campaigns that fight for gender equality, and we always applaud celebrities who use their own platform to champion – and fight for – the rights of women. Now we have our own way to say thank you, to celebrate the brilliant women changing the lives of others, and to bring together those faces we know, alongside the women whose stories are yet to be told, in one unique celebration of female empowerment.”

Wellness beauty brand philosophy, will be the headline sponsor of the inaugural event. Katherine Kerrigan, Brand Manager for philosophy said:

“We’re extremely proud to be able to support Stylist’s Remarkable Women Awards, which will create a movement that all women can truly be part of. At philosophy, we aim to inspire women to live and feel their best, through everything we do. We believe in the remarkable and the importance of sharing the stories of women who are doing just that, with hope and grace.”
