The Biologist Launches Digital Edition

Tom Ireland: "We hope our partnership with Exact Editions can help us reach a diverse new mix of science-lovers and institutions."

Developed in partnership with digital publishing company Exact Editions, the digital edition of the publication is now available across web, iOS and Android platforms.

First published in 1953, The Biologist is a membership magazine covering all things bioscience. Published bi-monthly, each issue brings readers interviews with high-profile scientists, news and views on cutting-edge biology, and contributions from the society’s network of 17,000 members.

The Biologist is available for institutions and individual readers from around the world to purchase with cross-platform digital access. The archive of back issues, as well as all the latest content, is covered by the advanced search function across the web and mobile devices. Every article, page and issue can be searched, shared and cited.

Tom Ireland, editor of The Biologist, said: “We are excited to be able to offer readers a modern, searchable archive of Biologist back issues with Exact Editions. We are always looking at new ways to inspire interest in biology, and we hope our partnership with Exact Editions can help us reach a diverse new mix of science-lovers and institutions.”

Managing Director of Exact Editions, Daryl Rayner, said about the launch: “Exact Editions are thrilled to be producing the digital edition of The Biologist in partnership with the Royal Society of Biology. The diverse and thought-provoking coverage of the biological sciences will make the publication a must-have for individuals and institutions alike.”
