Puja Jain is a designated partner at sustainability-focused asset manager Generation Investment Management, where she oversees a global equity fund. She has over 17 years’ experience in sustainable investing, including developing frameworks to integrate environmental, social and bio-diversity factors into investment strategy. Puja is a board trustee at FLOWW and a member of the European Council for The Nature Conservancy. She was appointed to the board on 1 September 2026.
Thomas Kyriakoudis is an investor with a 25-year career spanning some of Europe’s most prominent financial institutions and has a long-term commitment to responsible investing. He is a partner at LGT Capital Partners and an investment committee member of the LGT Endowment. Thomas is also a member of the investment committee that oversees the £150m endowment at Girton College, Cambridge. He will join the board on 1 April 2027.
Non-executive director Chris Hitchen, who has served on the Scott Trust Endowment board since 2023 and prior to that was a member of the Scott Trust investment committee since 2018, steps down on 31 March 2027, says the Guardian. During this time Chris made an invaluable contribution to the STEL board, bringing to bear his expertise, experience and wisdom at a critical time in the endowment’s evolution.

Puja and Thomas are both highly experienced investment professionals whose deep expertise and insight will be crucial in helping the Endowment deliver on its long-term aims, underpinned by our sustainable investment values. I would also like to thank Chris for his invaluable guidance in his role as investment committee then STEL board member over the last eight years.”

The Guardian seeks to be self-sustaining financially; the security of the Scott Trust allows it to look beyond the here and now, towards future-facing investments and initiatives that safeguard Guardian journalism for generations to come, added the publisher.
The Scott Trust Endowment’s primary objective is to generate strong financial returns to enable the Scott Trust to secure and preserve the financial position of the Guardian in perpetuity, the publisher continued.
