Business Insider appoints Gary Kakoulli as Commercial Director

Following its recent debut in the UK, Business Insider has hired Gary Kakoulli as Commercial Director, UK and EMEA to develop strategic partnerships with brands and drive mobile advertising revenue.

Business Insider UK offers “real-time, fearless and punchy news” targeting the British and European business audience.

Having previously held a dual role at the Financial Times as Head of Mobile and Head of Digital Learning & Development, Gary Kakoulli joins the London-based Business Insider team to oversee the company’s advertising and content revenue.

Kakoulli has an impressive track-record of leading successful mobile and digital commercial teams at some of Britain’s most prestigious media brands. Starting his sixteen-year career at The Financial Times, he then moved to News International where he played a strategic role in the relaunch of the Times Online. Kakoulli also worked at Future Publishing as Digital Advertising Sales Director before returning to the Financial Times where he has spent the last four years.
