GQ to support One For The Boys

British GQ will partner with male cancer charity One For The Boys to close the upcoming London Collections Men schedule with an exclusive karaoke party held at Abbey Road Studios, it was announced yesterday.

"I am thrilled that GQ and London Collections Men are able to support Samuel L Jackson and Sofia Davis's One For The Boys charity, especially as we are doing it in tremendous style in the form of a karaoke evening with a live band at the famous Abbey Road Studios. One For The Boys is an incredibly important male charity, and hopefully the evening will be a great way to amplify its messages as well as being a fitting finale to season nine of London Collections Men," commented Dylan Jones, Editor of British GQ and Chairman of London Collections Men.

Samuel L Jackson, One For The Boys Chairman, added: “After the success of last year's karaoke at Abbey Road Studios, we are back closing London Collections Men with GQ. Through music we will unite all men to take a stand against male cancer and make a real difference. Men need to talk about their health and they need to speak up if they see signs of cancer. It takes confidence to stand on a stage and sing and it shouldn't take confidence to see the signs and act early!"

Compered by models Daisy Lowe and Jack Guinness, the event will mark British GQ’s first official collaboration with One For The Boys following years of support, say the publishers. Claiming June as the month for male cancer awareness, the charity, founded by Sofia Davis and chaired by Samuel L. Jackson, aims to educate men on the many cancers affecting them today.

British GQ and One For The Boys host the London Collections Men closing night karaoke at Abbey Road Studios on Monday 13th June.
