House & Garden launches The Calico Club
Emily Tobin: “The Calico Club aims to inspire, educate and entertain.”

The Calico Club will bring House & Garden to life by offering privileged, exclusive access to the people and places featured in its pages, says Condé Nast.

Members will have access to a full calendar of events, complimentary tickets to select art and design fairs, a monthly newsletter outlining the latest goings-on in the world of art, architecture, design, interiors, gardens and food, and an annual subscription to House & Garden magazine.

The Calico Club has assembled some of the brightest names from the worlds of design, interiors and beyond to be part of its steering committee, including the likes of interior decorator, David Mlinaric, artist, Yinka Ilori and rising star of the interior design world, Beata Heuman. Together they will set the tone for what the calendar of events will look like. The calendar currently includes a private dinner with antiques dealer, Christopher Howe, a series on the evolution of the home at the Geffrye Museum of the Home, a trip to the potteries in Stoke-on-Trent with Emma Bridgewater and a cookbook club, the first edition hosted by food writer, Sky McAlpine.

Editor-in-Chief of House & Garden, Hatta Byng says, “I am thrilled to be bringing House & Garden to life through our new venture, The Calico Club. It gives our readers unprecedented access to the interiors world, allowing them to hone their eye and learn from the most talented creatives in their field.”

“The Calico Club aims to inspire, educate and entertain through our calendar of cultural adventures. I am proud and delighted to be at the forefront of this project, which will not only bring together fellow curious minds, but help to foster a new generation of talent,” commented Emily Tobin, Creative Director of The Calico Club.
