Newsworks says Mel Leslie joins as agency and client relations director, bringing 25 years of experience across brand partnerships and strategy, having previously worked at Channel 4 and Havas. She will be tasked with continuing to strengthen relationships with media agencies and advertisers alongside Niki West, Newsworks’ director of agencies and client services.

Leslie’s arrival follows the appointment of Charlotte Tice to an interim role as knowledge programme director. Having joined Newsworks in November, she has been focused on developing an immersion programme targeted at media agency planners.

With a background in client and media partnerships, including 10 years at Mindshare, she will be working collaboratively alongside a cross publisher team to develop a blueprint for content and delivery.

Newsworks has also recently hired Coral Lamontange as media executive. Having studied fashion styling and creative direction at university, her role includes editorial, social media and design.

Speaking about the appointments, Newsworks CEO Jo Allan said: “I’m delighted to welcome Mel, Charlotte and Coral on board. They will all help to build on our work, as we continue to demonstrate the importance of trusted, quality journalism.

“Newsworks has made great progress in the last couple of years and now is the right time to bring in additional expertise to help strengthen our proposition and deepen our relationship with agencies.”
