The newly created role is the third senior hire in Maureen McDonagh’s team since she joined as Chief Customer Officer 9 months ago. Customer Growth Director, Aubrie Town and Commercial Director, Danny Munday both joined in August.
Umashanker, who has 15 years’ experience in customer analytics, joins from Deloitte’s Strategy and Analytics Consulting Practice.
Previous to this he was at Aimia Inc. where Umashanker was responsible for the analytics behind partners including BP, British Gas, Virgin Trains and Expedia as part of the Nectar loyalty programme.
Umashanker will report directly into Maureen McDonagh.
