Shine School Media Awards 2018 – winners announced

On Monday 2nd July, the Shine School Media Awards 2018 took place at Stationers’ Hall in the City of London.

Shine School Media Awards 2018 – winners announced

Prizes were awarded to some outstanding secondary school pupils from around the UK. The panel of industry experts who judged the 2018 competition were vocal in their praise for the creativity and talent evident in the winning school publications - newspapers, magazines, podcasts and websites.

Chair of Shine, Annie Hotton added her praise: “Now in its eight year, this wonderful competition is supporting and encouraging the development of publishing and communication projects in schools across the UK. For the students, it is my wish that the Shine competition will expose hidden talents in unexpected ways, give confidence and help them to follow their dreams. Some of these extraordinarily talented young people may well build the future of our industries. There is no finer place to celebrate Shine. Stationers’ Hall has been the home of writers, publishers, printers and illustrators for over 600 years. It thrives today as a global hub for the communications and content industries.”
