The Chelsea Magazine Company acquires three titles from Archant

The Chelsea Magazine Company has acquired three specialist coffee-table consumer titles – The English Home, The English Garden and Discover Britain – from Archant Community Media for an undisclosed sum.

Following its acquisition of Little Media in 2014, The Chelsea Magazine Company continues to expand its portfolio, which now includes 15 titles in three distinct groups – Parenting, Specialist Sporting, and Travel & Leisure.

"I launched The English Garden and The English Home between 15 and 20 years ago, then sold them to Archant in 2005," says Chelsea Managing Director Paul Dobson, "so it’s hugely exciting that they're coming home.

"We know them inside out and we will start by reviewing their production qualities and positioning in the market place. These titles are all about quality and Chelsea is the perfect home for them.

"I acquired Discover Britain almost 25 years ago, when it was called Heritage, and it will sit perfectly alongside our existing travel brands, Britain – The Official Magazine and Cruise International."

All three titles have extensive worldwide circulations, primarily in the UK and in North America, where Chelsea has a long-established and successful subscriptions marketing operation, says the company.
