The Times and The Sunday Times have announced an expansion to their official partnership with British Airways, providing all customers with complimentary digital access to The Times and The Sunday Times during their journey, when travelling on an aircraft equipped with Starlink Wi-Fi.

British Airways is the first UK airline to launch this technology, which offers the fastest connectivity in the skies, and is rolling out free, fast and reliable Starlink Wi-Fi across all its aircraft.

Customers travelling on British Airways aircraft not yet equipped with Starlink can still benefit from the partnership, added the publisher, which includes complimentary paywall-free access to TheTimes.com for customers travelling in First, or those purchasing the paid-for Wi-Fi package, giving them access to trusted journalism, expert analysis and premium content while travelling. This exclusive offering is available across British Airways’ short-haul and long-haul network on all Wi-Fi-enabled aircraft.

Dan Levitt, head of corporate partnerships at Times Media, said: “We’re delighted to be partnering with British Airways to bring The Times and The Sunday Times to its diverse and global travellers and take their inflight experience to a whole new level. This collaboration allows us to connect with both business and leisure travellers, providing them with trusted journalism and quality content to enhance their journey.”

Hamish McVey, director of marketing at British Airways said: “This partnership highlights one of the many ways British Airways customers can benefit from high-speed Starlink Wi-Fi, with access to up-to-the-minute news and renowned, in-depth journalism. We’re pleased to be working together with The Times and The Sunday Times to further enhance the inflight experience, giving customers more ways to stay informed and entertained while they travel.”

British Airways will promote the partnership through multiple customer touchpoints, including its onboard Wi-Fi landing page, High Life magazine, Product Talk newsletter and the What’s New page.

British Airways customers will also continue to enjoy selected Times Podcasts as part of the airline’s inflight entertainment offering on long-haul routes. The partnership reflects a shared commitment between Times Media and British Airways to enhance the travel experience by offering customers access to world-class journalism and premium content wherever they fly.
