William Reed, a family‑owned media business serving the global food and drink ecosystem, has appointed Lucinda Pullinger as chief people officer (CPO). William Reed says the appointment underscores its continued investment in its people as a core driver of growth.

Lucinda brings a strong track record of leading change and transformation in fast‑growth, entrepreneurial and multinational organisations, aligning culture, capability and performance to deliver strategy.

Lucinda has held senior executive roles at The Instant Group (owned by IWG) including chief operating officer for professional services, managing director, and chief people officer roles. Earlier in her career, she served as chief people officer at the Rugby Football Union and at Shell held various HR and Talent roles, including talent director.

As chief people officer, William Reed says Lucinda will partner with CEO Tracy De Groose and the executive team to focus on building high‑performing teams, strengthening leadership and succession, and embedding a culture that enables the business to execute its Food for Growth Strategy with pace and confidence.

Tracy De Groose, CEO of William Reed, said: “Lucinda’s appointment reflects our belief that growth is powered by brilliant people. As we continue to invest in William Reed’s future, her combination of commercial acumen, transformation experience and deep people expertise will be critical in helping us build the capability and culture needed to deliver our Food for Growth strategy. Lucinda brings both strategic clarity and real energy, and I’m delighted to welcome her to the team.”

Lucinda Pullinger added: “I’m excited to be joining William Reed at such a pivotal point in its journey. The strength of the brands, the ambition of the strategy and the commitment to investing in people really stood out to me. My focus will be on creating the conditions for teams to thrive, so that together we can deliver sustainable growth and long‑term success for the business and the wider food ecosystem.”

In January 2026, William Reed appointed Richard Sexton as chief operating officer. Lucinda’s appointment further strengthens William Reed’s leadership team as the business continues to evolve, invest in its people and future‑proof its role at the heart of the global food and drink industry.
