In her new role Emilie (pictured) will be responsible for developing and implementing PR strategies, managing internal communications and driving the company’s social media activity.
She will also have responsibility for Haymarket's corporate website as well as the group's intranet - the Link.
Reporting into Haymarket Consumer’s editorial director, Mark Payton and HR director Kim Liddiard, Emilie will start her new role on 3 January.
Emilie has been with Haymarket for over four years and is currently working for the medical division, as online editor of GPonline.com, where one of her key achievements has been the complete rebranding and redesign of the website which went live in November 2010.
“The Link and corporate sites are vital to the way we communicate with our staff and clients,” said Payton.
Emilie brings proven journalistic and communication skills, and an intelligent approach to the way we present ourselves across a broader range of platforms.”
Commenting on her appointment, Emilie said: “I'm very much looking forward to the challenges the role will bring. Haymarket publishes some of the leading print and digital products in the industry and one of my main responsibilities will be to work with key people within the company to ensure we market what we do best both internally to our staff as well as externally. There are exciting times ahead.”
