Leading personalities from the wellness world will come together to deliver a plethora of free content straight to peoples’ homes.

Streamed on Men’s Health and Women’s Health YouTube channels and promoted on other social channels, a host of globally renowned stars will provide game-changing workouts, wellness tips, mental health advice and expert cook-alongs, says Hearst UK.

The virtual sessions will take place every Saturday and Sunday, from 9th January until the end of the month, with full schedules available on Men’s Health and Women’s Health online.

The Women Health Weekenders will feature the likes of presenter Davina McCall, reality TV star Vogue Williams and personal trainer Jillian Michaels. It follows the two successful Women’s Health Live Virtual events from 2020 that saw over 14 million views across all platforms, according to the publlishers.

Meanwhile, the Men’s Health Weekenders will include a special cook-along with Michelin-starred chef Tom Kerridge, as well as workouts and training tips with the ‘Fittest Man in History’ Mat Fraser, UK Crossfit champion Zack George, professional boxer Conor Benn, reality TV star Spencer Matthews and celebrity trainer Bradley Simmonds. The magazine will also air an exclusive ‘Mindful Cooldown’ during evenings, after partnering with Michael James Wong, founder of global mindfulness collective ‘Just Breathe’, to offer the best in mindfulness, meditation and yoga.

The final weekend of January (29-31) will also see the launch of a Men’s Health Marketplace and a Women’s Health Marketplace, offering businesses the chance to exhibit and reach out to new audiences at scale. More than 35 brands have joined forces with Men’s Health and Women’s Health to be a part of the Marketplaces and e-zine that consumers receive.

Matt Hayes, Chief International Brand Officer, Hearst UK said: “The Men’s Health and Women’s Health Weekenders set a new standard when it comes to the virtual wellness experience, and – thanks to our thriving digital platforms – both will allow consumers to get more out of their lives, straight from their homes. We’d like to thank all of the amazingly talented individuals taking part in the Weekenders – their support really has helped us to take these events to a whole new level.”

Toby Wiseman, Editor-in-Chief, Men’s Health said: “Men’s Health strives to help modern men of all ages succeed in every area of their lives – and our virtual Weekenders do that, and more, with a host of experts geared around the full wellness spectrum. From pulse-racing workouts with the new Men’s Health Squad and the fittest man in history, to cooking with top UK chefs, to mindfulness sessions with global experts, there’s an unrivalled level of access to genuine leaders within their field. As our biggest ever virtual event, it promises to set a benchmark for men’s health.”

Claire Sanderson, Editor-in-Chief, Women’s Health said: “When we launched our first virtual events in 2019, we were overwhelmed by the public’s reaction, and now our Weekenders promise even more when it comes to fitness, mental wellbeing and healthy eating. In addition to the star-studded list of celebrities joining us, there’s doctors, dermatologists, entrepreneurs, nutritionists and loads more for people to enjoy. We’re extremely grateful too for the help of all supporting brands and can’t wait for the action to start.”

The Men’s Health and Women’s Health Weekenders follow several successful virtual events created by Hearst UK in 2020. These included the Esquire ‘Townhouse @ Your House’ with headline sponsor Breitling, the ‘Cosmopolitan Careers Festival’ backed by the police and the ‘Bazaar at Work Week’ with keynote speaker Gillian Anderson.

As an event bonus, registered Men’s Health and Women’s Health Weekenders attendees will receive a free e-zine – a digital event guide and marketplace electronic magazine, which will feature a selection of leading wellness brands.
