Literary Journal Brick Publishes Completes Online Archive
Laurie Graham: “The visual elements of the magazine have been beautifully transferred to a digital format.”

Dating back to 1977, the 100 issue strong archive has been created in partnership with digital publishing company Exact Editions for individual and institutional users across web, iOS and Android platforms.

Focussing on literary non-fiction, the bi-annual magazine prizes the personal voice and celebrates life, art, and the written word, says Exact Editions. Each issue brings new essays and insights from the world’s best loved writers, as well as introducing fresh, emerging voices. Throughout the decades, Brick has featured such literary heavyweights as Margaret Atwood, Zadie Smith, John Berger, Louise Erdrich and John Irving.

The Exact Editions platform boasts a comprehensive search function that allows users to instantly locate, cite and share a specific essay or article.

Brick is available in the Exact Editions individual and institutional shops.

Publisher Laurie Graham said: “We’re so pleased with how the new archive looks and how easy it is to use. Brick has always been as much a feast for the eyes as it is for the mind, and the visual elements of the magazine have been beautifully transferred to a digital format.”

Managing Director of Exact Editions, Daryl Rayner, commented: “The Brick archive will be a huge asset to literature departments in institutions around the world, as well as a joy to read for individual users - we can’t wait to present the new digital product to the international market!”
