Newsquest Media Group renew their NCS contract until 2027
David Coates: “NCS has truly transformed the way we operate, and the results speak for themselves.”

Newsquest, a regional newspaper publisher in the UK, have been a customer of PCS for over a decade, says the company. In April 2016, PCS says it deployed NCS to help improve Newsquest’s circulation and distribution process. This solution is designed to save publishers time and money. It handles the full scope of print and digital publishing options such as paid for, retail, wholesale, frees, leaflets and home delivery. PCS says it also handles subscription management, canvassing and directories. Newsquest have taken full advantage of the fully supported system, and they want to extend the contract into 2027.

David Coates, north regional managing director at Newsquest said: “In our line of work, where every minute counts, having a system that very rarely goes down is a game-changer. NCS has truly transformed the way we operate, and the results speak for themselves.”

Since the inception of NCS within Newsquest, it has been instrumental in revolutionising their operations. David continues, “One of the standout achievements using NCS was when PCS managed to seamlessly assist in the merge of seven different sites into one for Newsquest. This was no small feat, but thanks to our partnership and NCS, it was executed with precision and efficiency. The consolidation not only saved time but also reduced complexity.

“The NCS system has streamlined our processes in ways we couldn’t have imagined. Tasks that used to be time-consuming and cumbersome are now completed with ease and speed. This has allowed us to focus on what truly matters – delivering high-quality services to our clients.

“What truly sets NCS apart is the exceptional speed in which any queries or issues are resolved. In our fast-paced industry, having responsive support is invaluable. The NCS team, notably, Dean Edwards, NCS’ senior product specialist, epitomises PCS’ commitment to exceptional customer support. With his dedication and expertise, he consistently delivers on this front, ensuring that our operations run smoothly, and our clients remain satisfied.

“In the world of circulation, NCS has proven itself to be a reliable, robust, and efficient solution. I highly recommend it to anyone in the industry. It has made a significant difference in our day-to-day operations and our ability to deliver outstanding service.”

This extension of the partnership between PCS and Newsquest marks a new chapter in their collaborative journey, added the company. As they look forward to the future, both organisations say they remain committed to pushing the boundaries of what regional newspapers can achieve, delivering high-quality content to their readers, and making a lasting impact on the communities they serve.
