Petits Propos Culinaires Launches Digital Subscriptions to Archive
Catheryn Kilgarriff: "It’s remarkable to see every single issue of PPC neatly stacked and ready for browsing."

Subscriptions are available to both individuals and institutions and include fully-searchable access to the entire series dating back to 1980, as well as all future issues, across web, iOS and Android devices.

Petits Propos Culinaires, or PPC as the series is known, is a food history journal published three times a year by Prospect Books, edited by Tom Jaine since 1980. Each issue includes both articles on food history and copious book reviews.

Now in its 21st year, PPC is the leading journal of food history, and was founded by Alan Davidson, Elizabeth David and other writers. Regular contributors include: Peter Brears, world expert on traditional English food and historical palace kitchens; Charles Perry, the foremost expert on Arabic cookery from the thirteenth century onwards; Elisabeth Luard; Corinna Sargood; Helen Saberi; and many more. The writers are historians, restauranteurs, and food writers across many platforms, with a plethora of published works.

The streamlined navigational features of the Exact Editions platform mean the archive benefits from linked contents pages and an advanced search function, says the company.

PPC is available in the Exact Editions shops for individuals and institutions.

Publisher Catheryn Kilgarriff, said: “It’s remarkable to see every single issue of PPC neatly stacked and ready for browsing. The archive brings 40 years of food history to life and we couldn’t be more pleased with how the journal has translated to this new digital format.”

Managing Director of Exact Editions, Daryl Rayner, commented: “We are delighted to have worked with PPC to make this new and important resource instantly accessible to both individuals and institutions at the click of a button. The striking visuals will certainly give readers an appetite, too!”
