YUDU launches Social Wall for digital magazines

App developer YUDU announces the launch of its Social Wall, a new way for magazine publishers to integrate their social media channels into an app, and increase audience engagement.

YUDU’s Social Wall allows publishers to pull in feeds from popular channels such as Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube and others, into a custom HTML / CSS page within the app – providing readers with instant access to social media updates from a single location, and enabling quick and easy shareability with no need to leave the app environment.

According to YUDU, the rationale is simple: more and more content is being discovered and shared via social media; with YUDU’s Social Wall, magazine publishers can ensure they don’t miss out. Social Wall aggregates and displays feeds from a number of online sources, giving readers access to social media updates in the same app as their magazines, books and reports. In creating a one-stop-shop for readers, publishers can increase content dwell time and engagement, whilst maintaining strong brand loyalty.

Laura Summers, Head of Marketing at YUDU stated: “We are excited to be launching Social Wall to help publishers to create a one-stop-shop for their digital and social media content. The aim is to create deeper reader engagement and with our dynamic apps, which also include embedded HD video and HTML5 interactivity, we are confident we can offer magazine publishers and readers a more comprehensive and immersive “magazine app” solution than what they are used to.”
