Anthem marks World Food Day

Monday 16 October marks World Food Day and in a show of support Anthem will be donating 10p from every issue sold during the month of October to its nominated charity for 2023, The Trussell Trust.

Anthem marks World Food Day

The Trussell Trust supports a network of food banks across the UK, providing emergency food and support to people in poverty and facing hardship.

The company provides support for more than 1,200 food banks in the UK – that’s roughly two-thirds of all food banks in the country.

Between 2020 and 2021, says Anthem, The Trussell Trust provided 2.5 million three-day emergency food supplies to people in crisis. As the cost of living crisis worsens, The Trussell Trust continues to support more people and families with emergency food supplies in a compassionate and dignified way.

The charity’s vision is to end the need for food banks, and we want to support them in making that vision a reality.

Anthem says it hopes to echo the success of their 2022 donation to local mental health charity Bath Mind, where they also donated 10p for every issue sold during the month of October to mark World Mental Health day on 10 October, raising over £7,000.
