Anthem Publishing has announced that Sally FitzGerald has been promoted to deputy managing director, taking on a greater business leadership role at the Bath-based publisher.
CEO Jon Bickley commented, “I’m really pleased to see Sally step into this new role that gives her the chance to make an even greater impact on driving our whole business forwards. Her track record of developing our food and wellbeing brands, and most recently our websites, has been outstanding, and we can’t wait to see how much more she can achieve with a bigger remit.”
MD Simon Lewis added, “It’s especially satisfying to see Sally take up this post having joined Anthem as a Production Editor 15 years ago, and grown with the business. She’s a testament to the value of our commitment to developing talent and promoting from within.”
Sally concluded, “I’m honoured to be taking on the role of deputy managing director. Anthem prides itself on being a nurturing environment for both its brands and its staff, and I can certainly attest to that. Jon and Simon (and Paul) have been incredible mentors, helping me to learn and grow whilst giving me the space and freedom to explore my potential.
“Over the last few years I’ve had the opportunity to launch brands that are really close to my heart, spearhead our growth in digital publishing, and even project manage the implementation of programmatic advertising on our websites. This is a really exciting next step for me, helping to shape the future of Anthem and make sure we’re leading the way in independent publishing for many years to come.”
