Apple News+ achieves ABC Certified Supplier status
Jan Pitt: “The enhanced transparency that comes from ABC certification will bring added benefit to publishers using the Apple News+ platform.”

Achieving Certified Supplier status means Apple News+ has completed the ABC’s audit, confirming their systems are capable of providing data that’s compliant with ABC reporting standards.

Jan Pitt, Commercial Director at ABC, comments, “We’re delighted to welcome Apple News+ as a Certified Supplier. Over the course of the COVID-19 restrictions many publishers have reached out to partners to distribute their digital content, looking for those they can trust and who make it as easy as possible to report with ABC. I’ve no doubt the enhanced transparency that comes from ABC certification will bring added benefit to publishers using the Apple News+ platform.”

The ABC’s ‘All you can read sales’ reporting category refers to digital editions that a consumer has purchased and viewed as part of a multi-publication package. As a result of the COVID-19 restrictions, the ABC has suspended the requirement that there must be a print version of the title. This means that, until further notice, publishers can claim an issue that has 100% digital circulation.
