Sajeeda Merali: "The latest PAMCo data shows that trusted editorial brands deliver much more than scale.”

Magazine media reaches 34 million UK adults every month - 61% of the adult population - according to the latest PAMCo data. More than three times the audience who saw Taylor Swift’s global Eras Tour or five times the number of fans who attended the entire 2026 FIFA World Cup. The scale stands up against some of the biggest platforms too, with these trusted titles reaching more UK adults each month than TikTok (30.7 million).

The data shows how print and digital work together to build that reach. Some 27.2 million adults engage with magazine brands online each month, while 15 million read in print. Of these, 8.2 million read across both formats, while 6.8 million are print only readers, and 19 million digital only.

Magazine media also combines scale with a regular reading habit. Nearly two in three monthly readers return every week, rising to 83% among those who read across both print and digital.

The latest figures also highlight magazine media's strength among commercially valuable audiences. Magazine brands reach 21 million ABC1 adults and 26.6 million main shoppers every month, alongside 19.6 million women - 69% of all UK women.

They also reach 14.7 million over-55s each month, equivalent to 68% of the age group. While print is particularly strong among this audience, 53% of over-55s read magazine brands online, the same proportion as 35-54 year olds. The International Longevity Centre estimates that over-50s account for 55% of UK consumer spending.

The data also demonstrates the connection between magazine media and people's passions. Those interested in food and drink are 23% more likely than average to engage with magazine media, rising to 25% for home ideas and DIY and 29% for gardening.

Sajeeda Merali, CEO, PPA said: "The latest PAMCo data shows that trusted editorial brands deliver much more than scale. They reach 34 million adults every month, but they also build regular reading habits and strong connections with people around the subjects they care about, the same interest and passion-led relationships now powering marketplaces like Atria. For advertisers and planners, that means significant reach across print and digital, combined with valuable audiences and relevant editorial environments people actively choose to spend time with."
