The title will, says Egmont, make a stunning addition to its portfolio of Disney titles and is a testament to its long standing and successful relationship with Disney. The monthly magazine will be on sale from the 21st of July 2010, in celebration of the launch of Toy Story 3 in cinemas across the UK.
Toy Story magazine will be targeted at the core readership of 4-7 year old boys, with an initial print run of 100,000. Each edition will be 24 pages in length, apart from a special bumper launch edition, which will be 28 pages. The magazine will feature content from one of the most successful animated franchises of all time.
Content will include original comic stories, real world fact files and activities such as games, puzzles and colouring. The Toy Story brand is known for its sense of adventure and humour, whilst also promoting friendship and teamwork. These ideals are expressed throughout the magazine as the popular Buzz Lightyear and Sheriff Woody join a host of new and exciting characters.
