IPC Ignite announces key changes

IPC Ignite has announced key changes to its team, intended to strengthen and realign the publishing responsibilities across the men's lifestyle and music portfolio.

Faith Hill (pictured) is appointed publisher of music titles NME and Uncut reporting to publishing director Paul Cheal.

James Thrower (pictured below) is appointed associate publisher of the Mousebreaker casual gaming portfolio, and will remain associate publisher of men’s monthly Loaded, reporting to publishing director Jo Smalley.

Faith began her career at Hachette Filipacchi where she was group marketing manager for Sugar and ELLEgirl. She joined IPC Media in 2004 where she held marketing roles on IPC Southbank’s Marie Claire, In Style and woman&home before moving to a publishing role in January 2008. Currently publisher of Hair, Wedding, and sister publication Wedding Flowers, Faith was responsible for leading Hair magazine through a complete redesign in Spring 2008.

Faith says: “I’m delighted to be joining Ignite’s music brands. NME and Uncut are two of the most respected music authorities in publishing and I’m looking forward to starting work with such talented teams.”

Paul adds: “Faith's drive, energy and ambition, coupled with her IPC Southbank experience, will help us to ensure that NME remains at the forefront of multi-platform media development.”

James, currently associate publisher of Uncut and Loaded, joined the Ignite publishing team in 2008 from IPC's distribution company Marketforce, where he held the position of circulation manager of the Ignite division. In his current role, James was responsible for launching the inaugural Uncut Music Award and the U2 Ultimate Music Guide one shot.

James says: “Since the commercial relaunch of Mousebreaker.com in October 2008, the brand continues to go from strength to strength. It's an honour to be given the opportunity to join the brand at such an exciting time and I can't wait to get started.”

Jo adds: “James has proven himself to be a valued and respected part of the Uncut and Loaded team, so I'm delighted to announce he's now joining Mousebreaker and bringing his considerable publishing experience and personal dynamism to the Ignite men's lifestyle portfolio. James will play a key part in IPC's continued investment in its digital properties.”

Faith and James take up their new roles on June 22.
