With many popular franchises, such as Shrek, Despicable Me and How to Train Your Dragon, Kennedy Publishing says Universal have captured the hearts and imaginations of generations of children through big-screen adventures.

Action! magazine expands on a rotating selection of these Universal franchises, added Kennedy Publishing, with the first issue featuring everything Despicable Me and Minions. The title is one-of-a-kind as the only licensed film-focused magazine for young readers, providing a new way for young film fans to explore their favourite movie characters, the publisher continued. Each issue will include activities, such as colouring, games, puzzles, posters and behind-the-scenes trivia, and come with a themed gift.

Minions, Shrek and How to Train Your Dragon are evergreen movie properties with huge appeal, so we’re confident the magazine will be a hit.”

The publisher says the first issue is on sale 27th March 2025 and will be available at all key retailers for £6.99, with a new issue every 4 weeks.
