New Series for BBC Countryfile Magazine’s Plodcast
Fergus Collins: “When you can’t get to the countryside yourself, come for a walk with us.”

The popular nature podcast explores the Great British countryside as the team take atmospheric walks around the UK recording their experiences.

This latest series will explore the human and natural inhabitants of the countryside, meeting people who work and live close to the land but also capturing the sounds and songs of wildlife throughout the winter.

The Countryfile Magazine podcast has received much critical acclaim in 2020, shortlisted for PPA Podcast of the Year and Publishers Podcast Awards podcast of the year, as well as winning Innovation of the year at the 2020 BSME Awards.

BBC Countryfile Magazine’s Editor Fergus Collins says: “This season will be full or delightful adventures into nature – with fascinating guests who truly understand the rural world we all love. Plus, we’ll be capturing some special wildlife moments as we take listeners on journeys into wild places. When you can’t get to the countryside yourself, come for a walk with us.”

BBC Countryfile Magazine’s Plodcast begins on Tuesday 18 January and runs every Tuesday after that until 5 April.
