Time Out has announced a partnership with the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) to host Portugal House, the official fan zone of the Portuguese National Football Team during the FIFA World Cup 2026.

Running from June 13 to July 20, Portugal House will transform Time Out Market New York in Brooklyn into a celebration of Portuguese culture, gastronomy, music and football, says Time Out. It will create a home-away-from-home for Portugal supporters and an immersive destination for New Yorkers and visitors eager to experience the country’s vibrant culture during the world’s biggest sporting event.

Located in the heart of DUMBO with views of the Manhattan skyline, Time Out Market New York will become a Portuguese destination for six weeks, featuring cultural programming, live music, special food and drink experiences, community events and live screenings of every FIFA World Cup 2026 match, including all Portugal fixtures.

Visit Portugal joins Portugal House as part of its ongoing efforts to promote Portugal in the United States, one of the country’s most important tourism markets, Time Out continued. Through a series of cultural, gastronomic and networking initiatives, this activation will provide a unique opportunity to showcase Portugal’s diverse tourism offer and engage with international audiences during one of the world’s most watched sporting events.

Rob Biagioni, CEO of Time Out Media, said: “The FIFA World Cup is one of the world’s great cultural moments, bringing people together through passion, pride and shared experiences. We’re delighted to partner with the Portuguese Football Federation to create Portugal House at Time Out Market New York, Brooklyn, and showcase the very best of Portuguese culture, food and hospitality to New Yorkers and visitors from around the world.”

João Medeiros Cardoso, chief commercial and marketing officer (Portuguese Football Federation) added: “Portugal House will be a gathering place for supporters, families, communities and visitors throughout the tournament. Partnering with Visit Portugal, we are sure that Time Out Market is a natural home for this celebration, bringing together world-class food, culture and shared experiences in one of the most exciting cities in the world. Together, we are creating a destination that celebrates Portugal’s spirit both on and off the pitch.”

Carlos Abade, president of the board of Visit Portugal said: "The FIFA World Cup 2026 offers an extraordinary opportunity to showcase Portugal to a global audience, and Portugal House will bring the essence of our country to the heart of New York through our culture, gastronomy, hospitality and passion for football. As one of Portugal’s most important tourism markets, the United States is a strategic priority for Visit Portugal, and this initiative allows us to strengthen our visibility, deepen our connection with American audiences and inspire future visits by presenting Portugal as a vibrant, authentic and welcoming destination."

With the FIFA World Cup placing Portugal in the global spotlight, Portugal House will also showcase the country as a leading travel destination. Supported by Visit Portugal, Time Out says the activation celebrates the food, culture and experiences that continue to attract visitors from around the world, particularly in the strategically important North American market.

Highlights of Portugal House will include:

  • Live screenings of Portugal’s FIFA World Cup matches and knockout-stage fixtures should the team progress
  • Portuguese food and drink experiences inspired by the country’s rich culinary heritage
  • Live music and cultural programming throughout the six-week activation
  • Celebrations surrounding Portugal’s traditional June festivals, including Santo António and São João
  • Special community, media and business events hosted in partnership with the Portuguese Football Federation and Visit Portugal
  • Experiences designed to engage the Portuguese and Luso-descendant community across the East Coast, as well as international visitors exploring New York during the tournament

Portugal House will be open daily from June 13 through July 20, 2026 at Time Out Market New York in Brooklyn.
