Celia MacMillan: “We are incredibly proud to be recognised as one of the top 17 companies in Cancer and Careers’ inaugural index, especially alongside such esteemed global peers.”

Haymarket Media Group has been named one of the Best Companies for Employees with Cancer in the inaugural index from Cancer and Careers, one of the authorities on helping people manage work alongside a cancer diagnosis, says the publisher.

The ranking recognises the top 17 organisations offering strong policies, benefits, and resources for colleagues managing cancer or other serious health conditions. Alongside Haymarket were various companies including Google, L’Oréal, Lloyds Banking Group, Publicis and Renault.

Rebecca Nellis, executive director of Cancer and Careers said: “For 25 years, Cancer and Careers has sat at the intersection of health and work. This index transforms that expertise into a roadmap for how companies can successfully balance employee needs, company culture and business realities while fostering supportive workplace environments.”

Celia MacMillan, people & communications director at Haymarket Media Group said: “We are incredibly proud to be recognised as one of the top 17 companies in Cancer and Careers’ inaugural index, especially alongside such esteemed global peers. We are firmly committed to supporting our colleagues who are affected by chronic illness, recognising how important the workplace is for people going through challenging times. We are a proud founding signatory of the Publicis’ Working With Cancer Pledge and our Global Cancer commitment underpins the fact we want everyone that works here to feel valued, supported and empowered to talk about what’s going on in their lives, at work.”

The list of winners was also displayed at One Times Square on Tuesday 14 April to congratulate the companies on their inclusion in the inaugural Cancer and Careers Best Companies for Working with Cancer Index.

Haymarket says this recognition reflects its commitment to maintaining supportive workplace practices for employees managing serious health conditions.
