Haymarket wins CIPS contract

The Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS) has contracted Haymarket Media Group as its supplier of media and events globally.

CIPS, the leading professional body for procurement and supply chain management, has a global community of over 116,000 concentrated principally in the UK, Asia, China, Australasia, Africa and the Middle East.

From November, Haymarket will produce all CIPS media for its Supply Management brand: member magazine, website content, email bulletins, social media and job board plus all associated commercial activity. In addition, it will manage CIPS international portfolio of conferences and awards events. The relationship will be managed by Haymarket Network, Haymarket's content marketing agency, and will draw on the specialist commercial expertise of Haymarket Business Media, along with the group's international office infrastructure.

David Noble, Group CEO CIPS said: “As CIPS continues to expand its global community we must ensure we develop our media and events provision accordingly, providing the best and most relevant content and events to this dynamic and fast changing profession. We are delighted to be starting this new journey with Haymarket.”

“Business media has changed almost beyond recognition over the past decade,” commented Kevin Costello, chief executive of the Haymarket Media Group, “driven by the opportunities and associated complexities of the digital economy. Haymarket is delighted to have been selected by CIPS as its business media partner to maximise the opportunities presented by this fast-changing landscape.”

Andrew Taplin, managing director of Haymarket Network, added: “Delivering thought-provoking, timely and insightful content, under CIPS’ Supply Management brand across all channels – print, digital, social and live – will engage and build the global procurement community. And that will allow us to maximise the commercial return on CIPS’ behalf.”
