Heseltine to deliver inaugural Estates Gazette lecture

Estates Gazette is to hold the first lecture in an annual series launching on 25 February at Fitzwilliam College, Cambridge, in memory of Peter Wilson, the former owner of Estates Gazette and honorary fellow of Fitzwilliam.

Lord Michael Heseltine is to deliver a special one-off lecture on the future of regeneration. Described in the past as the Daddy of Urban Regeneration, Lord Heseltine's influence on urban renewal is second to none, says Estates Gazette, and in this lecture he will draw on decades of injecting vitality into cities in the UK and share his insights on unlocking their full economic potential.

The event also marks the launch of several scholarships awarded by Peter Wilson’s family to talented graduate students wishing to study land economy at the college.

The Estates Gazette Peter Wilson Lecture is supported by Savills, and law firm Wragge Lawrence Graham & Co and will be attended by the great and good of property, say the publishers.
