Moonpig has teamed up with Beano Studios to bring exclusive Beano comic subscription packages and greetings cards to Moonpig, Buyagift and Red Letter Days.
Landing in Beano’s “Year of Mischief” which celebrates trouble-maker Dennis the Menace’s 75th Anniversary, the deal taps into the evergreen demand for the brand, says the publisher DC Thomson.
Under the partnership, Beano subscriptions are now available across Moonpig’s retail platforms. Three family-friendly packages include 10 issues, 25 issues or a full year of laughter in one seamless checkout journey, the publisher continued.
Beano says it has also rolled out a wider greeting card offering on Moonpig for fans of every generation. The kids’ range leans into famous comic artwork and spotlights Dennis, his dog Gnasher and other Beano favourites with humour-first designs and personalisation courtesy of Moonpig’s on-platform tools.
For grown-ups, added the publisher, Beano debuts a fresh, graphic look drawn from its newly launched Adult Style Guide, designed to tap into nostalgia while feeling contemporary.
Both ranges have been created with greetings partner, Danilo. The card range adds new moments to celebrate including Birthday and Father’s Day cards.
The combination of personalised greetings and gift comic subscriptions offers multiple entry points for families for year-round fun.
Rob Glenny, executive director of growth and new product development at Beano Studios, said: “Dennis and Gnasher have entertained families for 75 years with their brand of mischief and mayhem and we are delighted to be working with Moonpig to bring them to even more customers with these memorable gifting moments, from giving a child their first Beano Comic to a personalised card that makes the whole family smile.”
Natasha Caller, head of buying for Moonpig, added: “As the experts in delivering happiness, we are delighted to add Beano to Moonpig, Buyagift and Red Letter Days. Subscriptions bring real value to our customers, while the expanded card range gives them more ways to celebrate with humour and nostalgia.”
