New role for Ella Dolphin at Hearst

Hearst Magazines UK has announced the appointment of Ella Dolphin as Group Commercial Director.

In her new role she will take ownership of Hearst Magazines UK’s commercial strategy leading an experienced sales team and devising creative products and solutions for advertisers across mobile, tablet, web, print and events.

Ella, whose previous role as Group Publishing Director saw her working across titles including Cosmopolitan, Red and Esquire, will now focus exclusively on her new position as Group Commercial Director, reporting directly to Hearst Magazines UK’s CEO, Anna Jones. A Group Publishing Director to replace Ella is currently being recruited.

Ella will also focus on developing long-term alliances with Hearst’s key customers and agencies, as well as overseeing commercial trading strategy across the business, to be led by a Head of Trading – a position that Hearst is in the process of recruiting.

Anna Jones, Chief Executive, Hearst Magazines UK said: “Ella combines a deep understanding of brands and content with a fresh and innovative approach to commercial partnerships, and I am delighted to have her on board. Ella will strengthen our unique approach to creative, digital, content and experiential solutions to ensure our advertising partners get maximum value from all our brands and channels.”

Ella Dolphin, Group Commercial Director, Hearst Magazines UK said: “I’m extremely excited to be taking on the Group Commercial Director role at Hearst. Our 26 iconic brands have extraordinary reach and there is a huge opportunity to create compelling 360 brand and audience solutions supported by outstanding client service. I am very much looking forward to building on the fresh energy in the business.”
