Readly announces partnerships with travel brands
Ranj Begley: “As people spend time enjoying journalistic content while on holiday, we consider the travel sector strategically important to drive readership to our publishers' titles.”

Airlines, rail companies, cruise liners and hotels are teaming up with Readly, a digital subscription service, to offer travel customers unlimited access to its digital magazine and newspaper app this summer.

Wizz Air, Ambassador Cruise Line, TUI, Govia Thameslink Railway (GTR) and Northern Railway have live partnerships with Readly this summer, whilst Secret Escapes is due to launch later in the season. The activity involves providing a Readly subscription offer to their customers via a loyalty app or customer benefit programme to keep them entertained, informed and engaged as they travel.

According to Readly, research shows that over half of the UK (53 percent) will travel or take a holiday this summer. Whilst almost a third (27 percent) will travel abroad, one in four (24 percent) will holiday within the UK and almost one in ten (7%) will stay local with day trips.

“Travel is a hot topic and high on the consumer agenda this summer. As people spend time enjoying journalistic content while on holiday, we consider the travel sector strategically important to drive readership to our publishers' titles. It is also a perfect fit for us to attract new readers to our platform and join the thousands of people who subscribe to our service worldwide every day”, says Ranj Begley, UK MD and chief content officer at Readly.
