Stylist says following new research showing that nearly two-thirds of women now rank skincare as their number one essential, it is launching Stylist The Skincare Awards 2027.
A study of over 2,000 women across the UK by Stylist’s insights agency, Think Stylist, found that almost two-thirds (64%) now rank skincare as their number one essential purchase, highlighting a fundamental shift in how women view beauty, wellbeing and self-investment.
The findings suggest skincare has moved beyond a traditional beauty purchase to become a daily ritual closely linked to confidence, self-care and overall wellbeing, says the publisher. As consumers become increasingly informed and selective about the products they use, the demand for trusted recommendations and credible brand endorsements continues to grow.
In response, Stylist unveils Stylist The Skincare Awards 2027, recognising the products, brands and innovations shaping the future of skincare. Stylist The Skincare Awards celebrates some of the very best in skincare, spanning 50 expert-judged categories across cleansers, serums, moisturisers, masks, SPF, body care, treatments, tools and supplements. A further 10 reader-voted VIP categories recognise everyday essentials, including the best toner, lip balm, hand cream and facial SPF, added the publisher.
Hanna Ibraheem, Stylist’s beauty director, says: “I’m thrilled to announce the launch of Stylist The Skincare Awards. Designed to celebrate excellence across the skincare industry, the awards will champion the brands and products that are making a genuine impact on women's routines and experiences. The result is our definitive edit of the very best skincare on the market: products that deliver on their promise, innovations we believe are moving the industry forward and formulas that make skincare a joy. I can’t wait to share the winners with you.”
Stylist The Skincare Awards 2027 will be supported by editorial content, audience engagement and insights across Stylist's digital, social and membership platforms, the publisher continued. Winners will be contacted later this month, with the final awards revealed to the public in October. Winners will be invited to a celebratory breakfast on 13 October.
