Nick Hugh: “This success reflects the quality of our journalism and the continued investment in our digital transformation.”

In 2018, TMG announced it was transforming its business to be subscription led, and set the strategic goal of reaching 1 million subscribers by 2023.

Since the start of the year, say the publishers, digital volume has grown by 30%, surpassing 500,000 digital subscribers ahead of target. In addition, its overall print and digital subscriber volume has grown by more than 100,000 since the start of 2021.

Nick Hugh, Chief Executive, TMG said: “I am delighted that we have seen such substantial subscription growth this year; every part of the business has contributed to this remarkable achievement, and this is yet another key milestone we have hit ahead of schedule.

“This success reflects the quality of our journalism and the continued investment in our digital transformation. As part of this investment we launched our new app earlier this year and it has played a key role in improving the digital experience for our subscribers.”
