This week, YorkshireLive launches its first major multi-media campaign celebrating South Yorkshire.

Yorkshirelive: We’ve got South Yorkshire covered
Wayne Ankers: “YorkshireLive is a force to be reckoned with in South Yorkshire and across the county.”

55 OOH adverts will appear across Sheffield on large format positions, major arterial routes, on roadsides and near supermarkets across the city.

Advertisements will achieve an estimated 4m impressions in outdoor alone, and will be complemented by a digital and social campaign, say the publishers.

The adverts celebrate all that is great about South Yorkshire, from Rother Valley to the Botanical Gardens, through to watching live acts at the Crucible.

YorkshireLive launched in March combining the existing LeedsLive and Huddersfield Examiner team with a new team concentrating on South Yorkshire, Bradford and North Yorkshire.

According to Reach plc, the site is first with breaking news, thanks to journalists across the region. From live coverage of the biggest news events to in-depth features exploring the social issues that matter to communities, the site reports on everything the county is talking about.

In the space of six months, says Reach, the audience has more than doubled in size, and in August the site recorded more than 32m page views on desktop and app.

Wayne Ankers, Editor YorkshireLive said: “YorkshireLive is a force to be reckoned with in South Yorkshire and across the county. Historically, the south was a stronghold for our competitors, but in a short space of time our team of trained journalists have come to know exactly what type of story resonates with our readers. We have grown a loyal readership who want quality respected journalism, something YorkshireLive provides 24hrs a day, seven days a week.”
