Poool, a French start-up dedicated to audience conversion tools for digital publishers, is announcing a product partnership with Edisound, a solution for distributing and monetizing podcasts, says the company.

According to Poool, Edisound offers clients an audio player to integrate podcast episodes into their site. After a few seconds of listening, a wall (provided by Poool but designed by the publisher) will block content and offer the listener a value exchange based on the publisher’s strategy: sign up to the newsletter, create a free account or subscribe in exchange for access to content.

Just as content producers are establishing reader revenue strategies on written content, they can now create value from their podcast - increasing engagement through newsletter sign up, collecting first-party data from registration and monetizing directly from listeners via subscription, says Poool.
